What an alert looks like
Price, market value with the range we're confident in, the discount, how the card was identified, how the condition was verified, and seller history. If it also works as a flip, we say so. If the margin's too thin, we say that instead.

What we actually check
The title is not the product. The photograph is. Three listings that looked like the deal of the year, refused because what was pictured didn't match what was described.
We reject far more than we send, and when we're wrong, we say so.
How it works
The uncomfortable truth about deal feeds: in any collectibles market, the deepest "discounts" are disproportionately counterfeits, compromised accounts, and listings too good to be true. A feed that posts hundreds of raw price-gaps a day isn't filtering that risk. It concentrates it, and its best-looking alerts are its riskiest. We built the opposite: every listing has to survive the checks below before anyone gets pinged, and suspiciously deep discounts get more scrutiny, not a bigger headline. Every alert links straight to the listing on eBay, where eBay's buyer protections apply.
The crawler polls eBay continuously and sweeps newly-listed cards every 30 minutes, so deals are caught while they're still purchasable, not hours after they sold.
Title parsing, set and collector-number matching, and photo comparison against reference images pin down the precise card and printing: shadowless vs. unlimited, holo vs. reverse, stamped variants.
The stated condition is cross-checked against eBay's own listing data; disagreements get re-priced at the worse tier and labeled. Seller history is checked, and risky patterns are flagged in the alert itself.
Every card is priced against current market data for its specific condition and printing. Only listings at or below market value qualify, and the savings have to be meaningful for the card's price.
Why trust it
A deal feed is only as good as its worst alert. Ours is built to be checked, including by you.
When an alert turns out wrong (wrong card, bad price, bad seller), we strike it through and post the correction publicly, with the reason. We'd rather tell you than quietly delete it. That's how you know the alerts still standing have been checked.
A young seller, a disputed condition, or a discount deep enough to be suspicious: those warnings go in the alert itself, not in fine print. Deep discounts on expensive cards get extra scrutiny, because that's where the fakes live.
Every alert links the exact market comp it was priced against, same card and same condition, so you can check our number against the market yourself before you spend a dollar.
